Is There A Cure For This Disease?

In my healthy opinion we all should be searching for a cure for this disease? Well this might speed up the search!

A TAX POEM:
At first I thought this was funny...then I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end!

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts Anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt..

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his a_ _.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
upon his tomb,
' Taxes drove me to my doom...'

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Get Over It

I have not been writing much lately. My thoughts are there, but I have not had much fire to produce. This summer has been hot, dry, and sad. My precious Susan's Mother passed away in June, and along with the weather I have been sailing along in circles. I now have decided, as Don Henley sang in a song to "Get over it", and express my thoughts and feelings! Here are two "get over its" dedicated to people that will not let go.

In my healthy opinion, the hub-bub about the President being eligible to be our leader needs to end! Those that are still nagging should get a life! Please "get over it"! Your side lost!!! They make me puke with their whining, and as we all were told as a child, "no one likes a cry-baby"!

Of course you have noticed, when someone expresses their opinion, if disagreed with, they are now the enemy. In my healthy opinion, we the people are so convinced that our belief is correct, that when another opinion is expressed, they are wrong and become the devil's child! We no longer seem to believe that beliefs are your own and they can be different from others. Take politics, if you are a democrat, you must be rotten and smelly, and go ahead... through in the "your going to hell" mantra! The demo's feel the same about the Rep's and this non-sense goes on and on seemingly forever. We need to "get over it" and realize what made our land great was the difference of opinions and then the compromise.

Penn Jillette

In my healthy opinion, Penn Jillette is a tremendous entertainer as well as a very thoughtful man. He is a thinker!!! If you have never watched Penn and Teller "Bullshit" on Showtime, you have truly missed some funny and informative stuff! Enjoy this video...we all need to think more and not accept everything we see or hear.

We Are Now Second In Kidnappings For Ransom

Yesterday, I was watching the news, and this question was asked as a teaser right before the commercial break. The question asked what city, in the United States, did the most kidnappings for ransom take place? While the ads were running their course, I turned to my wife and guessed either El Paso, Texas or San Diego, California. I was incorrect! Phoenix, Arizona the newscaster revealed, and then went on to explain why. He stated that although 150 miles from the Mexican border, the drug gangs would send their runners to Phoenix in order to kidnap and hold their captives hostage for as much as a million dollars!

In my healthy opinion, this does not surprise me! I wrote earlier about my close friend Denny, who lives on the Mexican border. He had said this was beginning to happen. I feel it is about time to get serious about protecting ourselves from these slugs! Our leaders still just ignore the problem. By the way Phoenix was second in kidnappings only to the leading city...Mexico City! Mexico City is the world leader in kidnappings now followed by one of our own! This is a tragedy and a crying shame.
