Threats play role in Port Arthur killing; police hold off on arrest in case >> www.beaumontenterprise.com - Local

Well it happened again! People threatening to do harm to a man while he was in his home! You guessed the outcome didn't you? He killed one of the assailants while they were trying to get away in their vehicle. Of course many are upset over his actions, including Mr. Howard himself, but in my healthy opinion, good for him.

Mr. Howard was scared shitless and was truly afraid for his life. The lucky point about this happening is it occurred in Texas, where a home owner can defend himself against personal threats made against him on his property! This includes deadly force.

I have read where people break into people's homes and rob, beat, or even kill them. This law is meant to allow Texas home owners the right to protect themselves from an incident such as this. I am certainly proud that Texas has such a law and that we can own guns to us as protection! Just think, if we could not own guns, then the bad guys would just rob, rape, pillage, and kill with impunity! You don't need the police after the fact, you need instant help, and that is what gun power does for the good people!

In my healthy opinion, this man was fortunate to own and know how to use it or he might have become another victim of purely at the whims of criminals!
