Huricaines Again

My wife Susan and I are preparing to evacuate our home since Gustav seems to be coming toward our Texas coast line. We are preparing to take our four dogs with us, and maybe we will survive the trip to the Ft. Worth area! Three years ago, we went through Hurricane Rita, which beat the hell out of our area. We had taken a butt load of evacuees from New Orleans, and now we had to deal with Rita. The homes on either side of our house were cratered as a result of trees crashing through their roofs, but ours survived even with four trees laying on the roof!

Looking at the weather maps, seems like we are going to have to dodge four possible hurricanes. We are sick and tired of storms. We may end up moving to a better area where hurricanes do not effect you. In my healthy opinion, I may not post for a few days so I just have to wait to see what happens!

Shit! The Do-Gooder's Strike Again

Alright, I need your opinion of this post. You already understand that I certainly will give my healthy opinion and what follows is certainly mine! Grab you seat and just read and hang on, because I do have some strong opinions about what happened to the college President at Fort Dodge, Iowa!

The College's Trustees have accepted Dr. Paxton's resignation with the President of the Trustees saying the incident that happened to Dr. Paxton, "reflected poorly on the college". I know you are now licking your lips with anticipation as to "what incident" the Trustees are referring! Well let me tell you.

President Paxton, on his own time during the Fourth Of July, was at a lake having a great time evidently! While having a great time, he was photographed supposedly pouring beer into a young woman's mouth. He was photoed using a small keg device to pour the beer. At first, Paxton said the keg was broken and wasn't dispensing beer. Later, he did turn in his resignation based on the college's decision saying it would be in their best interest as well as Paxton's to resign.

One thing I have learned in my life, is if you are up against the wall in this type situation...don't lie! Lying digs the hole that soon you will be buried in! In my healthy opinion, Paxton should have owned up and said he was on vacation during his own time. He should have told the Trustees it was none of their business...which by the way, it was not! Some organizations think they own you around the clock, but that is certainly not true! You ask, "How did the college and the town's people find out about the occurrence"? Your gone to love this!

Someone at the party took a picture of Paxton having a good time and sent the photo to the Des Moines Register. This obviously is a newspaper and the paper claimed the photo was sent unsolicited! In other words, some do-gooder was at work taking care of our interest! What in the hell is wrong with people? This do-gooder was probably having just as much fun as everyone, and thought they would show Paxton that he should not have a life outside the college! This photo was probably taken by a cell phone which makes the do-gooder's work easier to ruin people's lives!

The college agreed to pay Paxton two of the three years on a newly signed contract. Paxton, in my opinion, caved! I feel he should have fought for his personal freedom and stood his ground, but in our time, we run from a fight instead of standing on the Constitution of our freedoms.
I hope all the Trustees, newspaper workers, and the do-gooder gets bleeding hemoroids!

Our Focus In Schools Is Wrong

I just read about a Justice of The Peace in Texas, requiring truant students in her jurisdiction to wear ankle bracelets with a Global Positioning System ( G.P.S.) attached. This is a pilot program to try and keep up with students that are missing school for various reasons. Of course, their are objections to this course of action, and there will probably be more. This is being done to try to get students to realize that school is important.

Texas has requirements, as do other states that students have to go to school, and be there a certain number of days. The training offered in Texas is college preparatory, because the legislators of our great State believe that all students should go to college! Needless to say, we are not serving the needs of our kids. Many kids like the Judge is dealing with are just right for the hands on jobs needed in the future. They are ready for training now!

Our children, in Texas as well as other states, need technical skills as required by industry today. In Southeast Texas, the refineries are in dire need of workers who have skills in the construction fields as well as processor operators to work the chemical mixing operations. There are two huge building projects at the initial phase just for Motiva ( part of Shell Oil) and Texas Eastman. They don't need college graduates, but workers trained for operations! These companies are going into the high schools to help students with technical training. Time is of the essence as people say!

Lamar Technical in Beaumont, Texas offers such training as well as others. The plants doing the expanding can not get enough to train, yet we are continuing with the old college grad route in our high schools.

In my healthy opinion, we need to get off our pioused ass and began preparing all students for the future. Click on this link and look at the fields offered now for the petro-chemical fields alone!

Truant Texas students to be tracked with GPS anklets.

The AP (8/23, White) reported that court authorities in San Antonio, Texas, "will be able to track students with a history of" truancy "under a new program requiring them to wear ankle bracelets with Global Positioning System (GPS) monitoring." Linda Penn, a Bexar County justice of the peace, said that she expects approximately 50 students "from four San Antonio-area school districts" to "wear the anklets during the six-month pilot program" announced last week. "Penn said students in the program will wear the ankle bracelets full-time and will not be able to remove them." According to the AP, "Penn will target truant students with gang affiliations, those with a history of running away and skipping school, and those who have been through her court multiple times." Penn said, "Students and parents must understand that attending school is not optional. ... When they fail to attend school, they are breaking the law." The AP noted that the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas said that the program "raises privacy concerns."

Granny Gets Her Pistol

If you have read any of my posts, you know that I am from Texas, and feel strongly about owning a gun for protection. In my healthy opinion, in this world today, there seems to be an immediate need for gun ownership and protection. If you do not own a gun, I guarantee you the crooks will have one and then you can kiss your ass goodbye!

The do gooder's, as we call them, want to take away our survival by not allowing private ownership of weapons. What the hell? I guess they believe that the criminals will just take your money and run away! Evidently they feel, as they are being brutalized, the poor criminal just did not know better! They just need some mental help from our Government, and they would not be beating the crap out of me or raping my loins!!! Holy shit! If someone wants to come into my home and rob me, they better bring a lunch and some bad-aids to repair bullet holes!

The do gooder's all seem to feel we cannot protect ourselves and that only the Government can help? That's like the saying ,"I'm from the government and I'm here to help"! In the time it takes for the police to show, you are already dead! Some help, huh?

Did you hear the latest about the 85 year old Pennsylvania lady, who confronts an intruder? She gets her gun, stops the criminal, and probably saves her life! If not, click on the link below, and be prepared to stand up and cheer her actions! She took action and saved herself! She did not have to call 911...she had the criminal dial the number for her! As the song said, "Go Granny, Go Granny, Go Granny, Go"!
